Knitting Needles

 Picked up some knitting needles. They are a pair from my late mother’s collection. Uk size 9 . 3/34 in metric not quite sure in American sizes. But anyway they are that old over 60 years ! I have got a lot of small odd balls of yarn and I was asked if I could knit a blanket in garter stitch corner to corner, so I jumped at the request. These particular needles has one  needle with a very slight bend and when I used them for the first time in years my thumb and index finger found the slight bend. Very relaxing and soothing .  I shall write the square instructions out in the next post. Have to make sure it works ok

early,work & time.

Favourite, Checked& Summertime

1. Watching my most favourite film Brief Encounter. I do hope they never ever make a remake, but that’s my personal view. 2. My blind cat is enjoying going out into the garden now and one of his big sisters goes out with him  still and she waits patiently for him it’s so lovely to see. He is in good health otherwise, he been checked by the vet. 3. Clocks gone forward lighter evenings now it feels like spring and soon to be summer. But the weatherman predicted snow for Easter!

buses ,son& home

1.following 3 red double deckers on the way home from a bus rally. 2. a mum said to her son "you are a nightmare". son heard this "why did she say that. it's not his fault that he is feeling the heat.why do mothers talk like this?".i replied "that is a very mild remark the mum made ,i have heard a lot worse. maybe she is feeling the heat."son replied "she should know better ,as she is an adult ." 3.coming home from a weekend away.
