life as it is

1.went for a walk in the countryside on Sunday and saw autumn at its best, really really stunning . 2.went for my usual coffee before work,went to order it and was told the coffee will be about 5mins as the coffee machine is being checked over, that's no problem i said, so i sat down and then 5mins later the young lady came over with my coffee and 3  chocolates . she said thank you for waiting and being patience here are some chocolates. yum! 3.son spent the day with his friend and parents they had a good day out. his friend does not like going out much, so it was a real treat that he went out.and he enjoyed himself as well.

1.listening to my cat who rarely purrs loudly,purring very loudly. 2.being told that since i started my job i have got more confident. i think this is due to work colleagues seeing you differently to how friends and family see you.also at work i am me ,not mum partner sister etc. i am treated as a person in my own right. 3.buying my favourite gooseberry and coriander chutney . great in a cheese sandwich. .

1.had a lovely holiday in the i.o.w. 2.while in the i.o.w, i saw my 2 firsts, a bird of prey flying in the wild. the beginning and the end of a rainbow. 3.thanks mum for my lovely ring. i will always will remember you with much love.

1.why does stew taste better the next day? 2.met 4 friends this week who i have not seen for ages it was nice to catch up. 3.son really enjoyed his work experience . a BIG thank you to everyone who made it possible.

1.the fridge is sparkling clean, now to fill it up again. 2.done a big stew in the quick slow cooker. my new slow cooker cooks quite quick. 3.i have now been at my job for 7 months and still enjoying it.

1.doing my favourite job in the garden ,clearing up the leaves. noticed some different varieties of toadstools, shame i didn't have my camera with me. 2.sat with my back to the train engine so i was seeing what i was leaving.things do look different at that angle. 3.had fish and chips .made a nice change.i normally have fish and chips at the coast , but these were very good.

1.son is really enjoying work experience. 2.had a great time at the craft fair. spent a little bit of money! but could of spent a lot more. 3.the isle of wight is as lovely as ever. had a lovely time. 4.the frost on sunday morning at 6 in the morning was so beautiful. and travelling to portsmouth ,the scenery was out of this world ,with the mist and sunrise . i cannot describe it.

1.watching the rain pittering pattering in the river, then looking further a long and saw a huge mass of red berries on the wall. 2.why is it that little children hands always remind me of starfishes? 3.looking forward to going to a craft fair with my sister,its in ally pally, i do enjoy the journey going there. mind you i have always enjoy travelling long or short  journeys.

1. my spider plant has had some babies. considering when i bought the spider plant it was in a bad way. so  i am so pleased,that it has picked up. 2. had a bit of spare time before my appointment,so popped into a charity shop and found rumer godden's autobiography both volumes . i bought them both. 3.the other day my partner, bought a new brush cutter and on checking it to make sure that everything was there,he found that there was not a petrol cap,the assistant tried to find it but had no luck, so they said they would try their other branch to see if they got a brush cutter. and they would ring next day. ring next day they did they managed to get another one, the assistant was on the way to get it. they made sure it had everything it should have. partner pick it up and was very pleased. its nice when you have service like that and people putting themselves for you.

1.the last cup of tea of the day.especially when you had one of those days. 2.surprising myself by enjoying maths.i am helping two children with their maths and i really am enjoying it. 3.getting rid of a really sore throat .

1.went to friends care home and had sunday lunch with her. we all enjoyed it. 2.we then took her out for the afternoon as it was lovely weather. at the moment she is still very happy at her new home. 3.learnt a new way of working out long division.

1.having a cuddle with my granddaughter,not seen her a while. 2.son told me about his day at college,without me asking how was your day .i think he has found what he has been looking for.he loves it. 3.when my daughter and granddaughter left, there was a big puddle and granddaughter you guessed right she splashed right in it and made her mum wet .you should of heard both of them laughing.

1.son had a great time on his school trip. he said he really enjoyed it. 2.son was telling me about the mishaps he had on the trip. he was giggling when he told me about them. it was good to hear him giggle,its not very often you hear him giggle. 3.even though he does not need to go back to college/school today, he wants to as he is really enjoying his course at college.

1.i was going to do some knitting , then one cat sat on my lap&then an other one decided to sit right next to me which is unusual for her,so no knitting got done. 2.a member of the family has finally got out of hospital. its going to be a long haul to get better for them but if they take it slowly and sensibly they will succeed. 3.the last of my lie ins which i have enjoyed.

1.picked up my knitting after a long time . went wrong after 3 rows, but still i wasn't worried, i am back doing knitting. 2.sitting down watching rear window the one with james stewart in. one of my favourite films. must sit down and write down my favourite films. 3.looking forward to son coming home from the  school trip. its been quiet without him, but i think we needed to have a little break from each other.

1.at first i thought there was rabbits in the field, but at  a closer look i saw that they were hares. what a wonderful sight. 2.entering a tunnel leaving all the rain behind,then coming out of the tunnel to brilliant sunshine. 3.buying english pears.apples at this time of the year i get from my friend as he has got an apple tree. but no pear tree. so i was pleased to find pears that was grown in england and from kent.

1.we packed holdall and yes if we wanted to we could of put in the kitchen sink  just. 2.i am being moaned at by my other half about leaving my mobile phone at home,he said he would never forget to take his phone with him.guess what? he didn't leave it at home he left it in the car, and its not the first time he has done that, he phoned up from work to let me know. he is unable to get his phone as he is a bus driver and he didn't realise till the last minute and it was to late to go and get it. 3.son is now on his school trip . he is looking forward to it . he will have a great time.

1.having the weekend to myself. its the first weekend i have had to myself for a very long time. 2..going to help son re-pack his bags for his trip with the school, he doesn't know that i got him a a new large holdall yet. i saw it recommended on line saying its large enough to take a sleeping bag and practically everything but not the kitchen sink. we will see. 3.my sister has passed all her exams.she has now finished all her courses. she has now signed on with a job agency ,which has got a good reputation for getting jobs for people over a certain age. you will get a job sis ,you will.

1.we all enjoyed ourselves at the 60s dance. great fun. it was so nice to see every one enjoying themselves .yes i did do the twist ,but i have to practice more 60s dance moves for the next dance. 2.when i went to get the washing in i noticed that my rose bush is in bloom again. 3.son's school trip is back on after it was cancelled last week due to bad weather.

1.there is an other lady  in blog land who loves reading cookery books, so i am not the only one! 2.buying my son his first pair of overalls,he tried them on and he looks the part. he is doing a mechanics course at college,he gets a day release from school. one minute he was a baby now he is on the brink of adulthood. where has that time gone? 3.we been invited to a 60s afternoon at our friend,new care home, we are looking forward to it, sounds like it will be good.must polish up my 60s dancing up, especially the twist!

1.i love watching dawn breaking. when i see that pinky glow, or even that inky blue, or whatever colour, i wonder at it. also i think what is going to happen today. 2.listening to some music from my youth,i forgotten how good the 60s music sounded. to me it sounded real good. 3.having a bowl of porridge as its a bit cooler.to me autumn has arrived. along with russets and coxs apples. but best of all english pears.

1.went to blackpool over the weekend, had a great time. i went up blackpool tower saw the famous ballroom and sat a while watching people dancing then went up to the sky walk. after a few minutes of dithering i went on the sky walk, i do not have a good sense of heights,but i am glad i did it.i took photos which i must down load.. 2.while on the way to blackpool ,saw a bus with its blind saying "we are awfully sorry but this bus  is temporarily out of service" how polite is that? 3.my son was to gone on a school trip to wales for a few days, but due to the weather it was cancelled , but hopefully the weather will be ok for next week, he and his class will go then.

1.seeing wild cyclamen growing under some trees ,in a field partridges having a good feed. 2.my son is going to college one day a week now he is in year 11, he is studying mechanics. 3.things are slowly getting back to normal after a horrible 4 weeks.

1.eating a egg and bacon sandwich in the garden and enjoying the the sun and its warmth. 2.looking at the beautiful sunset. the colours wow! gave me an idea for my next crochet project. 3.hearing a cheery voice at the end of the phone.its been a bad week,so speaking to my friend for a few minutes cheered me up.

1.falling asleep on the train, knowing that the last stop will be your stop. then get off the train walk a few paces across the platform to get the connecting train home, which came in a minute or two. 2.while on the train looking out of the window and making shapes out of the clouds,i saw a submarine , a alligator, a mother duck and her ducklings ,faces. 3.its not been a good week this week , and my cats seem to know this ,so they  really have been giving their love, thank you  cats x.

just today a lovely lady passed away. i will always will remember her with fond memories.with tears of laughter and happy times.

1.i helped to clear a shed yesterday and found two frogs .i do not know who was most surprised them or us.but they hopped to safety . 2.enjoying the wonderful smells after its been raining .that wonderful smell of the earth. 3.most important,to all the people who work in hospices a very big thank you.

1.  i made plum jam for the first time. in fact it was the first time i made jam. it has always scared me making jam,why? i asked myself to be honest i haven't got an answer. but anyway, jam i made it turned out very well.i was given  some plum windfalls and as there was too many to eat as fresh fruit, i thought i have a go at making jam, for once i had everything on hand and went for it, i am so pleased with the result. 2.my daughter told me when my 2 year old granddaughter woke up ,her first words was "nanny is nuts".with a big grin on her face. well as the saying goes out of the mouths of babes. 3.apart from seeing an elderly friend i had the whole day indoors, so i was able to potter about ,didn't achieve much , but it was a nice gentle pottering.

1.buying a new cookery book . i have earmarked a few recipes to try. 2.enjoying the cooler weather. while we had the hot weather, why is it that some people looked cool as a cucumber and i looked like a beetroot? 3.treating myself to a new top. i don't really like buying  new clothes, but i got a bargain the other day a lovely top in a soft peachy colour for £8.00 instead of £29.00 .it was the last one in my size.

1.getting good news ,my partner does not have bowel cancer. 2.getting back to normal after a very hectic week.having a quiet cup of tea and a bowl of weetabix. 3.having a good day at the spa valley railway.enjoying our beautiful countryside.

1.one of my cats disappeared for a few days. we did find her living in the dog kennel, which is used by all animals.but she would not come in at all. what frightened her, i do not know,any way i was sitting in the back talking to her , in the rain ,she didn't run off . after a while i left her as i had to go out . when i came back i asked my son have you seen tigerlily he said yes ,she sitting on the box, about 5 minutes later she decided to come in. she look at me and miaow as to say i am back. she is the cat who i would say is highly strung,her brother and sister are laid backed.so it was unusual behaviour for her normally she goes out then comes back about 10minutes later. but she is back. 2.my sister just phoned to say that our aunt is being moved to a hospital which is nearer to where my aunt lives. which is much better for her,she is on a slow but sure road to getting better. 3.just having happy memories of my partners mum. she has not got long, but i have loads of happy me

1.getting a hand written note to say thank you for subscribing to a magazine. it's a pleasure. 2.my cat raven thank you for your love, during this difficult time. 3.to the young lady who made my son's day.

1.my little grand daughter having a chat with the ducks and having a good laugh with them as well. 2.seeing children of all ages having fun in the sunshine. proof not all children play computers games etc all the time.they had water fights , playing football, cricket,playing on the slides,swings etc.it was good to see every one having a good time. 3.waking up to a cool fresh morning.

1.went to tunbridge wells today. had a lovely time, first stop as usual was hoopers, to have a cheese scone and coffee.  for me they are the best cheese scones going.popped into oxfam bookshop but i didn't see any books i wanted,then went into the secondhand one just a bit down the road, but i didn't have enough time to have a proper look round, but i will make sure next time. 2.i went by train and the train drew in and a man in front of me said after you and i replied thank you very much, he gave me such a lovely smile that my legs turned to jelly.all i can say is wow! 3.as i was looking at the scenery , i realised that there is so many shades of green . we have got such a beautiful countryside .

1. i managed to cut the grass front and back before the rain came and tidy up the garden. but for got to put the hedge trimmer on charge. 2.watching my grand daughter splashing in the puddles and hear her laughing.its fun she said. 3.met up with daughter for lunch and to see her face and my grand daughters face when they see who came with me. youngest son decided to come  with me  and to have lunch with us. they haven't seen him for a while. the look of surprise was a picture. shame i didn't have a camera ready.

1.my daughter.for just being there in this difficult time. 2.eating a peach, which taste like peaches should do. and they are juicy as well. 3.an other foodie delight, kent pink plum tomatoes. and they were grown in kent . they are really nice. they are a sort of a pinkish red.have to get some more. the son who doesn't like tomatoes very much likes these.

1.done some more de-cluttering . i read a little while ago, that for every new magazine you buy , throw 2 old ones out.i had 3 new magazines this week,but threw out more than 6. 2.my youngest downloaded my photos for me and when i have a bit of time i will sort them out. i didn't realise that i had over 200  photos on my camera. 3.my first sunday lie in since i do not know when. sunday is normally a busy day , but its going to be a quiet sunday , today.

1.coming home from a few days away. missed my cats. 2.my daughter came to look after the cats and made friends with the stray ginger cat. 3.having a chat with the brother in law,don't see him very often ,so it was nice to have a serious chat instead of a laugh.there is lots going on in the family, most of it is not to good at the moment. but i am sure happy days will be back soon.

1.i noticed this morning that my honeysuckle is in bloom again, which is unusual as it only blooms once a year. to be honest i thought i lost it earlier in the year it had a sort of greyish mould on it, but i treated it with some stuff and the mould cleared up. so it was a lovely surprise to see it in bloom again. also my roses have done well . 2.going to have my haircut today, with all this hot weather my hair and head really gets hot and sticky.i have got thick hair, nice and warm in the winter. 3.glad to be home , shopping has been a nightmare.traffic, traffic .everywhere.feel better that my hair is cut. have a great weekend.

1.as i don't drive i catch the bus to work. the bus stop where i catch my bus is not my usual bus stop, its about 5to7 minutes father away.so i am exercising a little bit more, so that's  twice a week, so  i am doing about an extra 20 to 28 minutes a week more exercise.and i am feeling better for this. 2.the course what i have been put forward to do, is going ahead. 3.when i get off the bus to go to work i usually cross the road then turn right, but today i crossed the road then turned left, its a nice little walk, there is a river which is so clear. and along the bank it is  covered with pink roses climbing through the railings and butterfly bushes galore. i am glad that i made that small detour.

1.an other new name for me, meteorite . i could not be bothered to walk round the bed , so i decided to climb over and i stumbled as i was going over and landed on top of himself, i didn't realise that he was asleep, he woke up with a start and said what was that? before i could answer he said that it was a meteorite that landed.then he went back to sleep. 2.getting up at 04.45.enjoying the peace and quiet. 3.taking a lady of 93 to show her new home. she has to go to a warden assisted home ,as unfortunately she has had some serious falls in the past and she is not looking after herself very well. she was very reluctant to go, until she saw her new home and said i think i will be happy here. it is very nice.

1.as i left the house my neighbour's daughter said hello josephine, my name isn't josephine,but i didn't mind .i think its a pretty name. she, i think will be calling me josephine every time i see her now. but i don't mind. 2.update on the ginger cat,i think he came from the block of flats that were pulled down , as i can not find out anything about him.he came in last night and went upstairs where he stayed all night. my other 3 don't mind him. also he knows who is boss as he waits for my 3 to eat then when they go he eats.so i will still ask round if anyone knows anything about him for the last time, if not i will take him in. 3.snuck upstairs after dinner and read for a while with cat on lap. its cool in the bedroom in the evening.bliss! hot weather and me do not mix very well,but i am not complaining its nice to have the warm weather.

1..i was given a lovely scarf with hedgehogs  all over it. 2.had the best fish & chips for a very long time in littlehampton. i still remember fish & chips being wrapped up in newspapers when i was a little girl & i still think they tasted much better. 3.coming home along the motorway i noticed the beautiful colour the sky was, i can not really describe the many magical colours ,but here goes different shades of pink ,mauve blue orange. they all was a soft hue.

1.looking forward to a day down the coast, haven't been down for a while. 2.having a coffee with my sister. she gave her job up a while back as she was being bullied, a long story i won't go into, but she is doing a course brushing up her IT skills.she is really positive now and her confidence is now coming back.well done sis, keep the good work up, i know you will get a job soon.x 3.getting my book through the post today,which i ordered on Tuesday.it was recommended by an other blogger. i am taking it with me for the weekend .hopefully i will enjoy it. i think i will.

1.reading thomas the tank with my grand daughter. and finding out that thomas has got some new friends, whiff, den, dart, luke. and i am sure there are others,so nanny here has to start learning thomas's new friends names and start meeting them as well.. i am looking forward to it. it will be fun. 2.looking at the squares i am knitting and deciding that the colours i have chosen really go well with each other. light blue is the main colour and the contrast is 3 shades of pink. one colour is more than plum colour than a pink,so its 2pink ,1 plum ,not 3 pinks.i just glanced at my knitting now and  said yes that is plum not pink! 3.getting over a migraine, where it came from i don't know, but its gone. i used to suffer badly with them in the past, but they disappeared by themselves and hopefully they will stay away. hopefully this one was an one off one.

1.received my magazines today .hurrah. as much as i like reading books its nice to have a read of magazines for a change. 2. i received a hand written thank you note with my new subscription. it was really nice. so i will email back to say thank you. 3.met up with a friend i haven't seen for a while.i didn't realise that she had some serious problems ,she someone who keeps a lot of things close to her chest,i knew something was wrong,but i had to wait for her to say something if she wanted to. so she did. all i could do was to listen to her. hopefully things will sort themselves out for her. sometimes that's all we need is someone to listen to us.

1.said thank you to a cashier ,and she said that i was the only person to say thank you to her. 2.having a slice or should i say 2 slices of old fashion ginger cake with a nice cup of tea. 3.waking up to the sun shining and to be able to put the towels and bed linen out as its quite windy so hopefully no rain for a while .

1. why does butterfly bushes, poppies grow on railway embankments ? and in my garden they just wither on the spot. 2. to be able to help my eldest,who has always very independent since the day he was born, even before he was born. 3.had a lovely day went on a steam train, a demu train,plus a leyland national bus.

1.with all this rain i am over run with slugs and snails in the back garden and on the front garden path .so i have to tiptoe over them. i wouldn't hurt them but its not easy tiptoeing through them. or should it be tiptoe through the slugs and snails.it doesn't sound right tiptoe through the slugs and snails. i was thinking of that song tiny tim used to sing tiptoe through the tulips. oh boy that takes me back, shows how old i am. 2.while i was at work my son brought the washing in as it was raining. thank you son. 3.the little girl who i help to read, is going so well with her reading, its great to see her read with so much confidence, she only been do it for a short time. well done.

i didn't plant the shrubs that will be tomorrows job.

1.waking up to see the sun and a bit of blue sky. 2.wondering if i can put the washing out for a while. and can i plant the shrubs i bought yesterday.but at the moment the rain clouds are playing peek a boo i see you.if i go out i know it will rain and if i stay in it won't.  i will plant the shrubs in the rain that won't bother me. 3.had a lovely afternoon with my daughter and grand daughter. we tried a new cafe we both thought it was very posh so it would be very expensive, but we were both wrong, it was very reasonable,posh yes but we were made very welcomed. so that's is going to be our place from now on.

1.lighting  a few candles to cheer up a gloomy evening. 2.to see swans on our local pond. they haven't been on the pond for at least 2 or 3 years,so its nice to see them again. welcome back swans. 3.changing my reading habits , coming out my comfort zone. at the moment i am reading christopher isherwood  mr norris changes trains. i have not long started reading it, so i am not sure if i lke it ,i am keeping an open mind.

1.opening the back door to let in the fresh air, for me i don't mind if its been raining or it is raining, i just love hearing the rain falling.as you can gather its raining in my neck of the woods,its that gentle  steady sort of rain. 2.i picked up a travel brochure the other day and looking through it  i started to plan next years holiday,to be honest i might not be able to go on holiday next year, but i can dream. will it be sweden, finland,  denmark, i don't really know but its nice to dream. 3.going out for sunday dinner. great no cooking or washing up for me today. more importantly meeting up with friends who i haven't seen for  a while it will be nice to catch up.

1.taking socks and trainers off after having them on nearly all day. bliss. 2.just having a bit of me time after a hectic week. 3.having to go and cut the grass or should i say try to, ,at the moment i am trying to dodge the showers.

1.even though i work part time i fill in when needed, yesterday was the first day  i worked all day. boy was i tired ,but i really enjoyed it. 2.the men folk have gone away for the weekend, so i am able to sit and watch black and white films and do my knitting. bliss. 3.to have peace and quiet for a while.

1.why is it? that you dread a job you have to do ,but it turns out ok.i had to start to sort my kitchen out, i started late, but got a lot more done than i expected.,still have to do a little bit more that will be done tomorrow. 2.while i was in the garden , i noticed that my rose bush has got 5 buds and 1 is nearly opened.its the 1st time that it has got 5 buds. i also potted up 3 plants as well and they all look good. 3. i am going to the local garden centre tomorrow and see what i can find. i must admit i need new containers and saucers,hopefully i will find something a little bit more exciting.

1.to have a talk with my grand daughter on the phone . 2.gave a special friend a cuddle. she really needs a lot of tlc at the moment,hopefully she will enjoy her night out. 3.making friends with a ginger cat. i will ask round if he belongs to anyone,if not i will give him a home, my three like him,which is nice.he has been around my place for quite sometime now.

1.being the first one up and have the first cup of tea of the day. and being able to daydream for a while. 2.  smelling the fresh air on the washing when its bought in. 3.getting back to knitting.i have crochet for a long time, so i thought i go back to knitting. i needed a change so glad i went back to knitting i am really enjoying it. at the moment it suits my frame of mind.i will go back to crochet one day but not yet.

in the past i read a blog titled three beautiful things .in which you put down three things what has happen to you during the day,or whatever three things made you smile or made you happy etc. well these are mine, 1.finding threebeautifulthingsblogspot.co.uk after a long time away  hooray! 2.putting out the washing out on the line and watch it flap about. i haven't had my washing line up for a while as i had to have some trees cut down,i didn't want the trees cut down, but i had to. 3.going to work. yes you read right going to work, after i have been unemployed for a while i found a lovely part time job. two afternoons a week at the moment and some courses in the future

had a lovely day. had lunch with my new boss and colleagues. they are really nice people. i am glad to be working ,its part time but still its a start.

i have done the garden. both front and back must admit i had a bit of help. but its done. both the front and back look bare but i am going to leave the garden as it is for this year and just do the lawn. i am starting to plan for what i would like to do for the garden next year,there are lots of ideas going through my mind at the moment, so i will be busy in my mind,,so watch this space.

i have been in the garden this morning. i really let the garden go to pots, my fault. but it was really enjoyable, strange writing and reading that it was enjoyable. , even when i was a little girl i 'd much rathered stayed in. i have still got lots to do , so its going to be little but often for the next few days, months? i don't know but hopefully it will still be enjoyable.

there is a good side of this rain ,our local pond is beginning to fill up now. it really went low as i went pass it yesterday i noticed that the ducks are coming back good!.i tried to find a nice sun shiny picture i couldn't find one. so i thought one was cheerful. sorry i have pictures of the pond at the moment.

following my last post,i went and helped my friend with their garden mainly the hedges. it was great fun.and they very kindly helped me with my garden mainly my lawn. one minute i had hardly any grass and it bolted so much it was like a jungle. any way the grass has been cut, but not near where the tulips are, i had such a good show of them this year, we just cut round them and i am leaving them to die down .but we didn't do the back garden as next door was having a new fence up and we would of been in the way, where i live we are all on top of each other. but the fence does look nice. have a lovely weekend. the above picture is not my garden , i got a postage stamp garden back and front!

i am feeling better after my outburst the other day. had a lovely day yesterday went to brooklands museum and it was brilliant. i have never been there before, but we will be going again soon. from the young man in the ticket office and to the other lovely people, who made us so welcome a BIG THANK YOU!. going back to my outburst,it was being taken for granted, i am not perfect, but i always try to treat people with respect and try never to take any one for granted. and if i do then i will always apologise,i am not a smug person, it was the way i was bought up.so have a lovely weekend, i helping a friend with hedge cutting over the weekend which i enjoy.its my job to clear up and put it the compost bin . sorry that's part of my thumb there!

i am so angry angry angry! i thought if i put words down it might calm me down but it hasn't help. so i will have lunch a cup of tea then go out in the garden then just then i might calm down. that's me a storm cloud. in the end i didn't go in the garden i did some decluttering i feel better now and i found some books i forgot about and  one i thought i lost! yes result.

once upon a time there was a lady who was going to do to so much with her spare time ,but she fell by the wayside. she was also going to be more positive that also fell by the wayside.so she thought she will try and do it all over again, so this is the beginning of her story .there will be a middle to her story, but have to wait and see if there is going to be an end.
