1.found room for the new toaster and food processor. 2.having a glass of wine with dinner, not very often i do,but enjoyed it. 3.typing with one hand , due to the other hand stroking one of the cats, she wants a big fuss made of her.

ps, i forgot about the chocolate gin . i kid you not. very very nice!

1.i am not a fan of christmas, but spent a quiet time with the family. 2.read poirot and me, given to me by my youngest son, which i really enjoyed. thank you son and for the mug as well. 3.enjoyed the company of my grand daughter and daughter over the holiday, had a good time.& company.

1.not been around much, been busy. daughter been in hospital, but both mother and baby are fine thank goodness. 2.having a day with my grand daughter.i was singing along with one of her tunes, nanny she said i sing not you, so i stopped and she started to sing. then i started to dance , no nanny i dance you stop. so i did. had a really lovely day with her. 3.i will cherish the time i had with her that day and all the days i will have with her and her little sister to be. cannot wait for grand daughter to be born.

1.i will be having a new grand daughter in april. i cannot wait to meet her. 2.going to meet up with a friend in the week who i have not seen for ages. so it will be a good time, for a good natter. 3.going into the spare room and finding yet more wool!i will be going in there later to start sorting out. there is pink wool and quite a bit of it! can't wait to start sorting.

1.seeing the heavy dew sparkling in the autumn sunshine. 2.only 11 more squares and i will have finished the squares, then have to sew the blanket up for pickle no 2. 3.had a ladybird crawling over my scarf.

1.my cactus has 1 small white flower. it is the first time it has flowered .i have had it only for a year, but it was my partner's mum's for years. 2.the bus rally season has finished for this year. went to the isle of wight,for the last rally. 3.hearing thunder for the first time this year.

1.went to the knitting and stitching show at ally pally, it was very busy.the amount of stalls in every possible craft was amazing. 2.bought birch wood knitting needles my favourites, 3.did not buy any wool, but my sister gave me some brown multi coloured wool, she is not keen on brown but i am. found the pattern i want to do with this wool, first time .yay!

1.enjoying the october sun. 2.finally coming out of my black hole i think. 3.going to a show tonight. looking forward to it

1.having a little chat with a young lady of 6 who is so shy. made my day. 2.one of my colleagues has got a wicked sense of humour( in the most nicest way i hasten to add) and laugh,it is a real pleasure with him 3.having treacle sponge and custard for lunch.

1.my grand daughter scooters to playschool on her scooter and scoots back home again.after a hard day scootering and playing she is ready for bed nice and early. 2.son is talking more about college ,than he did about school. so i think he is happy at college, mind you he is tired when he gets home  which is good. 3.trying new recipes and enjoying them. today going to make a chilli con carne from scratch wonder how that's going to turn out like?

1.getting up in pitch black, then after doing what i have to do  like making the first cup of tea ,feeding the cats, i noticed that dawn has broken and it was beautiful. the soft pinky glow against the blue sky. 2.two of the students said i like to do, not i don't want to do. 3.son getting up early for college and not rushing.

1.not a lot has been happening, its been a quiet week. which is nice. had my first weekend in for ages. didn't do a lot just pottered about and recharged my batteries. 2.son as he was clearing up his bedroom found a crochet blanket i had forgotten about it. so its downstairs now. and it looks lovely. 3.looking at an old holiday tape and didn't realise how big i was was 8 years ago.but now i am smaller now, i have still got a bit of weight to loose, i am doing this through sensible eating and exercise.

having major problems hopefully it will be sorted soon.

1.my daughter has got a ante natal clinic, so my grand daughter said" nanny can look after me and watch thomas". 2.son is finally sorting out his bedroom. 3.the base of son's computer chair broke in half , so got in touch with the company and they are sending a new one out.,straight away.brilliant service.

1.very busy at work . we really do need to open an other day, monday and thursday are now very busy. which is good. 2.enjoying doing the squares which i am knitting. i went out and bought more yarn for an other project,its the first time in ages i bought yarn. 3. enjoying this blustery weather. last night i saw half a rainbow. ,

1.went to swindon over the weekend. we went to the steam train museum there it was really really good, if ever you was in that neck of the woods ,go and  pay a visit. 2. we travelled on a 125 train its been years since i been on one. a lovely smooth ride. 3.our friend found tucked in the seat he was sitting in a dear john letter. it was a very nice letter,it was hoping happiness for the reader and other things. we left it there hoping that someone else will enjoy it.

1.had the whole day to myself,went to have my hair cut and my stylist is such a happy upbeat person that i always come away feeling better. 2.having my favorite cheese scone and coffee. its a once in a six weeks treat. 3.going to take my grand daughter to playschool.

1.watching thomas the tank with my granddaughter. how i miss watching thomas. 2.having coffee with my mother and sister. my mother said that my sister has done a good job in the garden. 3.son had a good day at college. he said he bumped into some old friends ,which made him feel a bit better on his first day.

1.son has now gone to college and he said he was looking forward to going.he had to go yesterday to sort things out and he went by himself, (he has got special needs). well done. an other step to independence. 2.went back to work and i realised that i did miss it more than i thought. 3.my new waterproof coat is waterproofed. daft as it sounds, the other half brought a waterproofed coat a while back and it didn't do its job he got soaked, so he went and exchanged it and now he is dry.

1.had a great day at the rhdr . sad to leave , but will be going soon again in december. 2.had a catch up with a friend, she doesn't seem herself, but as she is private person i do not ask what is the matter, as she will say something when she is ready,but only if she wants. she was telling me about her holiday she and her husband is going on, to scotland. they are flying and she is looking forward to that. and the are going to a distillery which they are really looking forward too.have a great time. 3son is really looking forward to going to college. granddaughter goes to playschool every afternoon now and she really loves it.

1.had a lovely holiday in devon, the weather was so lovely. 2.son had his induction day at college. he starts properly tuesday.its not his first choice of college. this is due to his first choice making a complete mess of every thing in a big way. i am sorry to say that. we did everything they asked us and then go and let him down big time. 3.the college which he goes to now, from the start there was help all the way. everybody was kind helpful. the tutor who is going to have was so positive and spoke to my son in such a way that my son was happy to sign on the course.

been away on holiday. had a great time..

my son will not get his results for his exams till friday, as his school sends them out by post. and he needed his results by then as he needs them for college. as on friday he needs to go to college with them. i tried phoning the college but as it was very busy i was unable to speak to i wanted to speak to,so i had a brainwave i went to the college and was able to talk to the person i wanted to talk to. he said still come friday  and explain about the results not coming till friday or saturday and they will be able to fast track my son as soon as he gets the results and he has to go again to the college next week with them. my post doesn't come till after 10 most mornings ,and his appointment is at 10.

1.peanut butter ice cream. yum yum. 2.spent sometime with my grandson who i do not see much of. it was really lovely to see him and we shared some laughs and jokes. 3.getting on with my squares for the blanket . i just love the pattern. the photo of the finished blanket does not give the squares justice,the bobbles and twists and turns.

1.choosing a pattern for a blanket my grandchild to be . i chose a pattern with bobbles on. haven't done bobbles for a long time. and the wool is a soft white. i have got enough in my stash to complete it. i got the wool at a bargin price well over a year ago. 2.finally finished clearing out the cupboards in the kitchen.they are now nice and tidy. 3.son finally came home after being away for most of the week. have to make the most of him at home, as soon he is off to college.

1.went to see my friend of 94 who has been fighting breast cancer. she is winning the battle. good news. 2.my friend is also doing knitting again after so many years of not doing it. she is making squares in blue and pink, to be made into a blanket.brilliant! 3.still decluttering. as you can gather i am a hoarder. it was difficult at first, but now it's getting easier.

1.feeling the autumn chill in the morning and evening now. 2.thought i lost my rose bush due to the hot weather, but no, not 1rose but 2 roses on my bush. 3.still haven't cluttered up my kitchen since doing it last week. feels great to walk in and see it tidy. 4.make that 4 roses on the bush,just been out to hang the washing out and saw the 2 new roses.

just saw my daughter's scan of pickle no 3 . a very happy nanny. very happy.

1.the new freezer is in place. the kitchen is looking good, had a very big clear up session. 2.had coffee with my mother ,i haven't seen her for a while. she is looking good.. 3.had a good day yesterday took grand daughter out and she had a very good time in the adventure playground and sand pit. had loads of laughs with her.  mimics her mum very well in whats she says.

1.got a new freezer. i really did not want a new one, but i was told i needed one. my old one has not been working for so long , that i have managed without one. a new fridge would of been my no 1 priority . 2. the next thing my other half said"i have ordered a fridge"that is fine with me as my fridge is so old , to be honest i don't know how old it is ,at a guess at least 25 years . 3. finishing work today for a 2 week break. we are closing for a short holiday. as much as i enjoy my work, i do need the break.

1.enjoying the thunderstorms.i know that lighting can be so dangerous, but it is so beautiful,especially at night.and this comes from someone who use to hate storms when she was younger.i know that there are some people who hates storms, my daughter for one.so a big hug to you all. 2.nearly finished my shawl. hadn't done much crocheting due to the hot weather and other things. 3.my grand daughter wanted to see her grandad but was unable to as he had to go out , so she said that he had to sit on the bottom stair till he could next see her.

1.the computer crashed big time, but son sorted it out. thank you son. 2.just been thinking ,not doing a lot ,but thinking. i want to spread my wings a bit after years of being a mum and partner. i know i will always be a mum, partner,nanny sister ,daughter etc, but the time has come to do something for myself. 3.just wondering where i be say in 6 months time.

1.had a great day at worthing. the weather was nice had a little bit of rain. the breeze was cooling. 2.a friend who not long had a operation, is really doing well. she is 94. and she keeps on going . 3. i am going to be a nanny again. thought i save the best for last.

1.yes it's raining ! 2.a little furry caterpillar decided to walk in front of me. 3.saw my sister at the bus stop she just been to the hairdresser and they did a very good job. best haircut she had for ages. she has got very thick wavy hair.

1.very busy at work. it was very quiet at first, then everyone came in.which was very good. 2.treating myself to some flowers. white freesias and pink and white carnations. 3.being put on a waiting list for a job in january . the cut of date for september has gone, but it doesn't matter as it will give me time to sort myself out.. the next interviews are in november.

1.enjoying the thunderstorm and the lovely rain. 2.grand daughter sharing her salad with me. 3.helping with one of my favorite garden jobs ,clearing up  the conifers cuttings.i do like the scent of them when they are cut.

1.following 3 red double deckers on the way home from a bus rally. 2. a mum said to her son "you are a nightmare". son heard this "why did she say that. it's not his fault that he is feeling the heat.why do mothers talk like this?".i replied "that is a very mild remark the mum made ,i have heard a lot worse. maybe she is feeling the heat."son replied "she should know better ,as she is an adult ." 3.coming home from a weekend away.

1.watching birds having a splash in the river. it was fun watching them. 2.crocheting  a shawl using the blue wool i got the other day. it is working up a treat. 3.brother came to visit this evening .haven't seen him a while. it was nice to see him.

1.son decided to come to the hospital with me. it was only a blood test ,but he said that he will come with me.thank you son , it was nice to have your company. 2.also son is very chatty lately which is good. it's nice to have a conversation with him. 3.work finishes tomorrow for the holiday, but it has been decided to open 2 days in the week for a fortnight, so the children can come and have a bit of fun.and adults if they want to. 4.work opens again in the 1st week of September. looking forward to it.

1.watering the plants when its cool. 2.a lovely day out with the family, even youngest son came out, which was nice. 3.had salad for dinner, not a great lover of salad, but enjoyed it.i think it was the pineapple and grated radish which made it.

1.enjoyed my weekend  to myself. the men folk will be home soon. 2.read a blog which made me cry. i wish i could wave a magic wand. 3.i hope everyone has had a good weekend . and never give up hope.

1.to hear my grand daughter sing. 2.to talk to a blackbird who was sitting in the shade . we had a lovely chat. 3.just to be happy .

1.buying some wool at a bargain price.its a midnight blue with a twist of metallic blue running through it. a shawl is being crocheted with it. 2.going to see my daughter and grand daughter off. they are going visiting for a few days down at the seaside. my daughter does not like getting on & off trains much, so she asked me to see them off. she will be picked up at the other end. she is not like me, who loves trains. 3.enjoyed my walk down to the town. felt better for it. must get into the habit of walking. used to do so much when younger,just got lazy.

1.using legs instead of the bus. 2.ordering 2 craft books . not bought craft books for ages. 3.the river i pass to and from work is still beautiful .and the plants and shrubs as well.i just realised that i have seen the river and its surroundings in all the seasons. 4.i will now take some photos in the different seasons of the river. starting now.

1.putting out the washing and knowing that it will be dried when bought in. and not to hang it up indoors. 2.this week son and dad are going to a bus rally for a few days. which is good as they do not spend a lot of time together.so it will be me and the cats ,but i don't mind as it will be nice to have some time to myself. 3.finding one of my old cookery books and my most favorite .it is 33years old.looking through it there are so many recipes which are not out of date.so i will be using it again. found my favorite recipes as well.

1.son has enroled at college. he is looking forward to going in september. 2.having a bowl of cereal at 6 in the morning. 3.enjoying this lovely weather.

1.waking up in the early hours and hearing the rain . 2.going to bed feeling very tired and reading a good book. 3.son being in a good mood. he is going through a moody stage, as most teenagers do.

1.mowing the front  and back lawn. 2.difficult day at work, but came through smiling. 3.watching lewis on tv.

1.a walk in the rain .trying out my new waterproof coat. yes! it's waterproof. 2.opening the backdoor after the rain has stopped and to smell the freshness that the rain leaves.also the wonderful smell of the earth and flowers. 3.a mug of darjeeling tea,in a china mug.

1.the bus i was on went the wrong way. everyone on the bus was ok about it. we had so many diversions on the roads round here, you cannot really blame the driver. 2.busy at work very busy. enjoyed it though. 3.hedge has now been cut looks better. gradually getting the garden into shape .

1.watching bees buzzing amongst the flowers. 2.a quiet walk in a church yard. 3. something i haven't done for a long time. cloud watching.

1.son is building a car from a kit. 2.enjoyed a quiet morning . 3.making friends across the water. i love hearing about life in  other countries.

1.worked with adults .for a change. which was very nice.i usually work with children.really enjoyed the change. 2.my grand daughter was in a very chatty mood. telling me all about her holiday. and her favourite part of her holiday was playing on the beach.my grandson did not say much other than he had a nice holiday. 3.looking forward to a quiet weekend. hopefully the weather will be ok and i will be able to do some more in the garden.

1.on a long bus journey i saw a field with poppies in, and the sun was shining as well, the sky was so blue.it was such a lovely view 2.went to a shopping mall, not very often i go, but i got want i wanted and at the right price.it made a nice change.i am more into the country/seaside person, than going into towns /shopping malls. 3.speaking to my daughter who is abroad and telling her that the weather should be good when she comes back home.its a bit to hot out there for me at the moment so i will potter in the garden later.

1.i have not got green fingers, but my rose has bloomed again. it is a peace rose. lovely . 2.got the items son asked for. he was given a cash box and it was in quite a state, but he took time and patience and did a good job restoring it. 3.my sister had her first job interview in over a year.

1.seeing a caterpillar for the first time this year and a really small red spider. 2.putting on gardening clothes even though it was just to sweep up the grass clippings. i think i am getting to like gardening. 3.downloading free books onto my kindle.

1.waking up to a glorious sunrise. 2.son asking me to get sandpaper and a wire brush for a project. 3.enjoying a piece of pink rock. took me back to my childhood. it still tastes the same.

1.having fish & chips at the seaside. 2.a stick of pink rock. 3.walking along the beach and taking in the sea air. 4. playing the 2pence machines.

1.seeing a great nan cuddling her great daughter with so much love and tenderness ,it brought a big lump to my throat. 2.a colleague is going to Malawi today for 3 weeks. how lovely. 3.had a piece of chocolate cake which was home made. it was so scrumptious .

1.a friend washing his greenhouse in the rain.in his words "hah!, you don't bother me british summer" 2.eating a warm jam doughnut. 3.getting back to the routine of getting up early.bliss!

1.me and my big mouth ,the sun is shining i said, its looks like it was going to be a nice day i said. huh! i walked out the front door and guess what ? it was drizzling and it was like that all day. so now i will not say anything about the weather. the weather knew that i was going to have a bit of time to go out in the garden this week and decided that it will play up,but i will get out there. 2.i have bumped into 2 friends i haven't seen for a while and both of them are going through bad times. there is not a lot i can do for them, but just be there for them. it just makes me  feel helpless. 3.tackling the housework after  an other cup of tea, seeing that at the moment i cannot get into the garden.might tackle the garden in the afternoon. 4.sorry this is not a positive post today. today will be a better day.

1.at this moment of time as i am writing this, the sun is out and it looks like its going to be a good day weather wise. 2.last night we did not have telly on at all. came home from work and son was busy doing things and no telly on.it was really nice not to have it on. 3.my grand daughter and grandson are going on holiday this week and i am going to miss them. i do not see much of my grandson as he lives quite a bit a way. but i am happy for them .

1.went to canterbury . walked along the wall. had lunch ,then done the riverside walk. it has been a long time since i have been to canterbury, so it was nice to go back. did not go to the cathedral this time maybe next time. 2.went to the bus rally in lewes. i never been to lewes before and i really liked it there. had a ride on a bristol  bus. it was for about 40 mins .sitting on the top deck of a bus you can see so much and more. 3.took photos of both day trips now to find the thingy i use to down load with. i take photos but never get them printed or download them. don't know why i don't do it . i will ponder that.

1.found a cookery book i have not seen for a long time . flipping through it i found a few recipes i would like to try. one is not really a recipe, all you have to do is to put a vanilla pod into some honey. simple. why didn't i think of it. 2.sitting outside having lunch. why does food taste nicer outside ? 3.spending time with my grand daughter and her other granda . she calls him granda not grandad.had a very good time, she helped to cook dinner and a very good helper she is and dinner was very good. its so nice to see little ones help and it was because she wanted to help. and she ate all of her dinner up, we all did. i think we have got a budding chef on our hands. 4. my grand daughter showed me her ladybird what she done at nursery. it reminded me of the things my 3 done when they were at nursery. happy memories. i still got somethings they done. must look them out.

1.it is so nice to be able to go out in summer clothes, instead of winter ones. to be honest  i am not to keen on summer. i prefer the spring and autumn seasons,but the weather at this moment for me is really lovely. 2.had a coffee with my ex and our daughter.it was nice to have a chat. 3.son did his exam.he said it wasn't as bad as he thought it would be. well done.

1.my grand daughter  had her first afternoon at nursery. she had a good time and really enjoyed herself. 2.son is sitting an exam today. next week he sits 3. hope all goes well for him and everyone who is sitting exams. 3.now that my son has got his college place and exams are nearly finished, i can start sorting myself out. i have started to make enquiries at colleges for courses that start next year. i am enjoying what i am doing, but i feel that i can go up a step .

1.the strong scent of lilac wafted over while i was waiting for the bus home. 2.having fun teaching dominoes to a colleague . 3.seeing students gain confidence with their english and maths.

1.watching my cat ,who does not go out very much, out in the garden, she was sitting and looking around her and the look of wonder was so beautiful. it was a shame i couldn't take a picture, but had i done, the spell would of been broken. 2.waking up to the bright sunny mornings. i have been getting up late since my son has been on study leave,and i do not like getting up late so this week i am making an effort to get back to getting up early. as i have been missing the peace and quiet of the morning. 3.nearly finished the front garden, still no idea what to do with it.at the moment its just lawn and a few shrubs. to be honest i could do with a new lawn, as it is very lumpy and bumpy.

it has been a very quiet week, but busy ,that is if can understand what i am trying to say.so hopefully next week will be a better week. so have a lovely weekend .

1. my dad would of been 90 today. still miss him and think about him lots. 2.going to my son's college for an award ceremony. he does not want to really go, but he decided that he will. 3.problems with the router, then problems with the computer , then the router, then the computer.but everyone i dealt with was very helpful. thank you to them all.

1.my grand daughter has got a place in nursery school. she starts after half term , for 2 afternoons a week. 2.working with a student the other day, she told me that school is ok and enjoys sports. this young lady i have been told is so down on herself, but i found her a very bright ,willing to learn . and she was so upbeat so hopefully she has turned a corner. 3.enjoying having son home for study leave.

1.went to a bus rally had a great time. my son asked his friend and his family along and they had a great time as well. 2.i have come to  the end of an era, no more children at school. my son is now on study leave and has to go in for 4 exams after half term, it is not quite the empty nest , but i feel a bit lost. no more early calls as such , no more hurries up your bus will be leaving in the next 5 mins etc. then son said i have got college in september then you can go back to getting me up early! 3.after saying i will not buy any more craft books , i bought a craft book this time it is a knitting book, not a crochet book. that's mt excuse. 4.yes there is a 4th. i fitted in a new router with just a little help.

1.walking pass the river to get my bus home ,i saw the duck swimming up and down happily , he saw me and he swam with me till i got to the bus stop, it looked liked that we were having a race. whenever i see him i always have a little chat with him. 2. on the other side of the river is a church and it is teeming with wildlife. so far i have seen blackbirds, thrushes, wood pigeons,magpies,butterflies, sparrows. and i am very sure a robin. 3.when i got off the bus i was greeted by a beautiful rainbow .the colours were so strong and vibrant. stunning!

1.wanted to mow the lawn today, but the weather decided to put a stop to me doing so by chucking down. so the next time i want to mow the lawn , i will not say anything ,but just go out and do it. 2.the items of things to do list are slowly being ticked off. 3. watching one of my cats lying on her back with all four paws waving in the air, watching telly. well i like to think she was watching telly.

1.the beautiful scent of stocks as i walk pass them. 2.a simple lunch of cheese and crackers, tomato chutney and grapes. sometimes the simples things are the best. 3.started doing the garden. i am not a great gardener, but i am enjoying, but i have to do a bit of clearing up and sorting out. but it is great to be out in the fresh air.

1.listening to the dawn chorus. 2.doing the spare room or trying to! 3.not finding the wool needed to finish the squares but found some more wool and pattern to start more squares.

1.having the house to myself for the weekend. lots to do. have to start to do the garden.the honeysuckle is going to be good this year. 2.my son is on study leave shortly , i think i mentioned it before where does time go? he will leave this year then go on to college in september. 3.so big changes for him and for us, i just wonder where we will all be? say in 6 months time, hopefully somewhere good. changes are good i think at times, otherwise you might find yourself in a rut.

1. sorry about yesterday's rambling, but i had to get it of my chest. 2.on the river near the bus stop, i saw my friend the duck has got a new friend. so glad for him. 3.youngest is going to to an golf afternoon with his school today. for a while he would not join in anything at school,but now he seems to be joining in again .good!

the brain is in overdrive and the body is in shock! i have been casting my eye over what needs doing in the home and garden. the brain has been making lists of things what needs doing, i won't bore you with them , but you know the ones, i leave it till later, when i got more time and money etc etc , all the excuses under the sun. well the brain said" no more. things have to be done ,start of with the easy jobs then work  up to the ones that need time and maybe help". the body heard this and said to the brain "but this sounds like hard work ", the brain said" hard work won't hurt".  the body replied "as long as i stop for tea i will do my best" the brain replied "this is going to be fun, wait and see. when everything is done you will be so happy that it is done". "huh"! said the body" i am not getting any younger and you know that i have got a wonky arm". "stop making excuses body that's why we start ...

1.while walking pass the river on the way home i saw a duck all by himself swimming , he looked so happy. i have been passing the river for a year now and it is the first time i have seen a duck on it. 2.went to a different bus stop and while walking to it , i noticed the blossom on the trees it looks so beautiful. and also the different shades of green leaves. 3. i have been busy lately so it is so nice to have a bit of me time.

1.buying a bunch of tulips and daffodils. 2.went pass a lake while on a train journey. saw something swimming in it ,it was not a fish, that i am sure of, but i was a bit to far to see what it was and being on a train you cannot have a proper look. 3.buying my grand daughter a new toy box for here. she got some of my son's old cars and now somewhere to put them in. she is a tomboy.and i will now have to buy a few more toys to put in the toy box. which is going to be fun.

1.eldest son is home for the weekend. it is lovely to see his cheeky face again. 2.also is lovely to have my 2 sons, daughter and grand daughter together for a while. it is so precious, words can not really explain the feelings, i got in my heart. 3.my honeysuckle really looks beautiful , no flowers at the moments, but loads of buds and leaves.my hydrangea i thought i lost last year , is showing strong healthy growth. so glad as it was a present from my daughter and younger son, many moons ago.

1.i looked at the clock this morning and it was time to get up, went downstairs and saw that the time was 5:30 not 6 o'clock.its nice to have an extra 30 mins,just to have a quiet cup of tea and dream. 2.been at work for a year now, it doesn't seem possible, time has flown by so quick. still enjoying it. 3.spending time with my daughter and grand daughter. did not see them last week ,so making up lost time.

1.the eye drops are working. 2.saw a mass of primroses on a railway embankment, beautiful.and hopefully it will not be to long and the bluebells be out. the hyacinths are really doing well. 3.really enjoying this lovely weather,but as i write this is does not look to good out there, but as we know with our weather it can all change.

1.not very happy,i have got an eye infection in both eyes. been to doctors and got drops. 2.found some hyacinth bulbs which should of been potted up ages ago. they were beginning to shoot, so have potted them up and at the moment they are doing well. 3. after going to the doctors the other half and i went to a little park where we have not been before and had egg on toast and coffee in the cafe and it was good real good.

1.enjoying the early evening sun's warmth that comes streaming through the living room windows. 2.going to work early to open up. it is really peaceful and quiet,so i made the most of it before the others come in. 3.i have been at work for a year now,it doesn't seem like it.i feel that i have been there for longer. i really enjoy what i am doing . so what will the next year at work bring me?

1.spent an afternoon with breakfast at tiffany's. i saw the film on tv a little while back and thought i get the book. enjoyed both. seeing that they were slightly different from each other. 2.other forgot his driving licence and had to come back from work to pick it up. he moans if i forget something, he never ever does things like that, he is organised,said he. i just gave him his licence  and smiled. 3.picked up my knitting and only got 8 squares to go.

1.had a great and fun afternoon with the family  bowling.long time since i went bowling. i came last as usual,. but that's not important we all had good fun, my 3year old grand daughter well to see her play was really lovely she enjoyed playing  and she told me that she will beat me and she did!my grandson is over in the holidays and boy does he bowls well and he is only 7. 2.before we went bowling we went to the park and as i was sitting down by the pond , i remembered that i fell into that pond head first when i was about 7 or 8. and where  i fell as well .then we walked through the rose gardens, happy memories came back of going to the library with my dad and if the weather was nice he would sit outside and start reading a book while i played in the gardens as there was so many paths and hidey holes . the imaginations ran riot. 3.lying in bed looking at the pale yellow sun against a blue grey sky, thinking that would make a good colour combination for a blanket. but...

1.enjoying this lovely weather . 2.went to a craft fair and enjoyed it. then went into london and went to foyles book shop , had a lovely time browsing ,didn't buy any books, but it was nice to go and browse. then had tea and cake.usually when i am out i have coffee but i was in a tea mood. 3.london is not one of my favorite places, but it was nice to go again. going on the underground was really good this time no problems, the trains were running well. when public transport runs well its great , but when it plays up it plays up.but all in all had a good day .

1.went away to jersery for a short holiday. it was my very first visit to jersey. we really had a very good time, it was cold but the sun was shining , the food was really good and everyone who we met were very welcoming. it is a beautiful island. 2. went to the underground hospital there. very humbling and very haunting. glad we went. 3.came back home to be ignored by 2 cats, the other one  came up for a hug, but the other 2, i will be ignored for a day or two.

went away for the weekend ,so had to stay  in a b&b overnight. we were advised not to stay in one particular one, but it was the only one what was the nearest to the party we were going to , there were other b&b's, but they were really to far away. bur anyway we booked in,shown our room,it was clean the bed linen was freshly washed and the towels ditto. the decor its not to everyone's taste, but it was clean. the breakfast the next morning was good. its was hot and there was plenty  of it. the people who run are very nice.you had your usual tea, coffee etc.all we paid for a family room was £55, which i thought wasn't to bad, where as other places we looked at we were looking at £95, or more for the 3 of us. i think you have to make your own mind up, listen to what being said by all means , but take the plunge as it may be ok, but if not at least you tried. we will stay there again if we need to.

1. spoilt it! i went for a walk to chase away the blues which worked,came home feeling a bit peckish, instead of having a healthy snack i had 2 fruit,nut and chocolate cookies and they were very nice, also they were the big cookies not the small ones!. never mind there is always tomorrow. so healthy snacks and fruit on the shopping list for tomorrow. 2.enjoyed my walk. i used to walk everywhere at one time. but just got lazy, so i am trying to get into good habits now, at the moment its nice to go for a walk. the weather is cold but dry in my neck of the woods. 3.son has just done his gcse art exam .

1.on the bus going to work i noticed that the scenery was like a water colour painting all the colours were merging into one another.it did look beautiful even though it was raining and rather greyish.it sort of high lighted the greens and browns. 2.i watched breakfast at tiffany's for the very first time and i really enjoyed it. 3.the heating saga. engineer came out was here for a long time, then said every thing is ok , the water should not be to hot now, but he said to phone up if it plays up again. all the thermostats are at the correct temperture, so ok i said.thinking that all is ok . guess what? the water is hotter, so an other call will be made today.

1.just ordered a new knitting book. i have not treated myself to a new  book for ages. once a upon a time i am sure i used to buy books and magazines to come that for the sake of it,but now i take my time and really think about it. but this book will be very useful. 2.went to a craft fair at the weekend. it was really good. 3. its monday start of a new week, hopefully it will be a good one.

1.mended the washing machine door. the screws came loose. all i had to do was to tighten them up. 2.heating people are coming next week to sort out my heating. it is a new system and its not been in long and i have to call them out, so hopefully its just teething problems. 3.seeing my grand daughter and daughter. not having seen my grand daughter for a while, i have notice that she has grown so tall . its unbelievable that she is 3 this year. where does time go?

1.had a filling put in. but if the filling comes out again the tooth has to come out. 2.its a beautiful morning. 3.only 13 more squares to do. till last night i didn't pick my knitting up for a week,then i fell asleep with knitting in my hands.i know that knitting relaxes you, but to fall asleep? never mind,i will plod on.

1.my new heating system is playing up. not all radiators are working, but the ones which are  , are red hot. plus the timer is playing up and the hot water is so hot,even though its been turned down,so a phone call is now due. 2.going to the dentist today. might have to have my wisdom tooth out, not looking forward to having it done, but it needs to be seen to. 3.saw some lovely crocuses and snowdrops the other day before all this snow .

1.broke wisdom tooth while having breakfast. dentist tuesday. 2.washing machine is working, but the door seal has gone. 3.but still cheerful.  i know these things are very minor.in the past weeks since christmas ,nearly every week something has gone wrong. but still that's life.

1.went to the local garden centre. it is open but it it is going a major transformation, and when it is done it will look really great. 2.an other foodie. made some stock the other day and used it in dinner last night and it did make a difference.have to make stock a bit more. 3.going to a 50s do tonight it will be a change.

1.while sorting out the recycling i saw my first butterfly of the season and it was a yellow one. 2.buying two files at very cheap prices as they are at the end of the range,covered in ladybirds. they are for my knitting and crochet patterns which i have got so many.its a quiet afternoon job, with tea and cakes for a reward. 3.waiting in for a parcel for once i don't mind, i am just pottering about and had i have gone out i would of missed the yellow butterfly.so there are some good things what happens when you stay in for parcels.

1.went away for the weekend, had a lovely time.my son had his first driving lesson ,it was off road as he is only 16,what a great time he had. his instructor he did very well. he really enjoyed himself. more lessons will be soon booked up for him. 2.coming home to be greeted by  one cat. the other two ignored us . but as soon as dinner was dished up for them that was a different story. 3.the start of a new week. i think i must only be the only person on the world who likes mondays.

1.getting those socks did do the trick , for a short while, the sun did come out for a while. 2. watching one of my cats , laying full stretch on the floor on her back just moving her head from side to side. she is a multi coloured cat and its nice to see the colours of her tummy. 3.the tuna melt i made was a success. my son  said to make it again.that is high praise coming from him. he is not a fussy eater, but he really likes tuna. i am not a great lover of tuna ,but it was nice.

1.a visit from my daughter and granddaughter. it was really nice to see them both. 2.treated myself to some new socks, i have got plenty but these ones are in spring colours .so hoping that buying them spring won't be to long in coming. 3.trying a new recipe for tuna and potato wedges.i got stuck in a rut with my cooking. so looked in a cookery book and found a recipe straight away .so here goes.

1.went to see the show that will be the day, at the weekend. had a great time singing along and dancing too. 2.spent the weekend away which was nice and made a change to have sunday dinner cooked for me. i did offer help but got told" no its your turn to have a rest from cooking", which was very nice. thank you. 3.going to my meeting today, i am looking forward to it.hopefully it will turn out alright.

1.to receive a parcel wrapped up in red and white striped paper when opening the items were wrapped up in 3 layers of tissues paper with red and white polka dots ribbon. lovely. 2.son has come home after being at his sister's for nearly a week, he was only meant to stay a few days,but its nice to have him home.also it was nice to have a few days to myself. 3.wondering what the weekend will bring, have a good weekend.

1.to change the bed linen which is nice and fresh and smells lovely from the fresh air. 2.memo to ones self, before giving or taking books to the charity shops, just check to make sure that there is no books you really want. i was taking some books to the charity shops and by  chance i looked in the bag and found that there was one book what got into the wrong pile. its a knitting&crochet book. in it there is an unusual pattern for a square, knitted from corner to corner and there are some more patterns that i will use. 3.bumped into my brother and his family. had coffee with them .it made a nice change. its not very often that you see them all together . had a lovely chat with my niece. all in all a good day.

1.my new boiler had a health check, to make sure it was put in and working properly. it passed. 2.being invited to go to a meeting next week to do with my work. looking forward to it,but am feeling a bit nervous as i have not done anything like that before. 3.the chaos indoors is beginning to get in to some order. why am i such a hoarder?, but i have given loads away and thrown things out with my eyes shut. i have been very ruthless, but i needed to do it. still got a bit to do but i will.

1.we was read to yesterday by a young lady,in which english is her second language and she read really well, . for she has only been over here a short while.she read a chapter each or nearly did. it was a really good and peaceful afternoon. we all came away feeling happy and peaceful. 2.there was only four of us yesterday and after we read  we discussed schools, one of the young ladies told us about her boarding school in africa  and the other young lady told us about her school in latvia . so in turn my boss and myself told them what school was like here in the 60s/70s. it was really nice to hear about their experiences . 3.waking up to an other lovely day. a day for starting spring cleaning!

1.its lovely to get the washing out and not having to dry it indoors. 2.looking forward to work. after not being able to go to work last week due to the boiler. 3.hopefully things will be getting better. had quite a lot to contend with lately.so hopefully, hopefully.

1.enjoying the beautiful blue sky and the warming sunshine. its like a spring day out there today hopefully spring won't be to long in coming. i even noticed that the daffodils are coming through. 2.enjoying a magazine called the simple things. its is really one of the nicest magazines going. 3.there is an article in the magazine, where a lady loves silence so much,i must admit i am like that. i am glad there is someone else like that. not everyone understands that i like being on my own and silence.but i do get involved in every day life, but like today i am on my own and enjoying myself and tomorrow will be back to normal.

1. i got heat at last yesterday. after not having proper heat since monday. long story, but i will not bore you with it. 2. thank you so much mr engineer for doing the job. he said that the problem would not beat him, it did not beat him. he said it was a very nasty problem.  the first time he has come across it and in a brand new boiler. 3.things and daily routine getting back to normal.

i have finally got heat. since monday i did not have any heat as i had to have a new boiler put in. it was a extremely rare problem i was told. i did have an other source of heat but it was expensive to run. but the heat is back!

i am not very happy. i am having a new boiler put in today, the chap was supposed to turn up about 8am , but did not turn up till  about 11.30, he was sent on an other job. i was told that my job will take 6 hours to do, that's fine. he left here about 5pm and i asked him about heat , he said no heat till tomorrow. i phoned up the office i asked if this is correct, yes they said if they are half way through a job no heating and no they don't supply any fires to cover. if i was told this earlier i would of sorted out something. plus i couldn't go to work, my boss is very understanding . but i have sorted something about getting some heating. but why send him on a job before coming to me knowing this job will take 6 hours. rant over. i even had to phone the office to see if he was coming , i  take things as they come and i know there are worst things can happen, . it made me think of the homeless and how do they cope?. but it annoys me when people can not inform you on what...

1.kept putting off a job, but when i done it, it wasn't that bad. 2.finding a beautiful shade of pink yarn i forgot all about. i have the right pattern for that. my squares what i am doing now are coming along nicely . i have got about 17 to do. 3.having a great big sister. i needed someone to talk to and she listened to me. i was upset by someones underhandedness ,but seeing my sister put everything back into perspective.

1.enjoying the sunshine. went for a short walk and the wind blew the cobwebs away. 2. i am very fortunate to work with some lovely people. we all bring something different to work, in a positive way. 3.having a bowl of tomato soup.

1.managing my finances better. 2.just having a quiet sunday in and making plans for the future. feeling a bit more confidence in myself, in making these plans. 3.for once looking forward to a new week.

1.the youngest is 16 today and a lovely 16 he is. 2.at long last this nasty cold is beginning to go and the horrible cough. 3.having a chat about aston martins with my youngest, he really loves them.
